Complete NYE Party Looks
Our head stylist, Emily, teamed up with make-up artist Sara Lindsay to help you ring in the New Year with three head-to-toe party looks!
As we approach one of the busiest party nights of the year, it can be stressful finding a look that makes you feel confident and put together. Makeup artist, Sara Lindsay, and I are here to help you with some NYE party wardrobe, makeup, and — of course — jewellery inspiration.
The Reinvented LBD
The Little Black Dress is a staple in any woman’s wardrobe and NYE is the perfect excuse to elevate your basic black with some dapper details. Bring new life to this classic, sophisticated look by playing around with your styling options. Here are two looks I am currently loving.
Fearless Fringe: Sporting a dress with some fringe details will set you apart from the crowd, especially on the dance floor. Plan to be twirling and twisting the night away because dancing in fringe is just way too much fun! Dress up your classic black with a long layering necklace like the Phoebe and some stackable bracelets.
Captive Cutouts: Dawning a dress with cutouts is a perfect option for NYE as it will help you feel a little more edgy than you might on your usual night out. To balance this look, I recommend adding some gorgeous gold accents. My go-to accessories for this dress are from the Tessa Virtue Collection. I love how these pieces don’t overwhelm the look, but still add a refined touch of glamour.
To compliment these fresh LBD looks with your make-up, Sara recommends incorporating a bold, smoky eye balanced with a nude lip. Sara used Kevyn Aucoin’s Titan Eye Pigment for a dark brown lid and Kevyn Aucoin’s Sireedan Lipstick paired with RMS Beauty’s Honest Lip Shine for the perfect NYE Nude.
Sequins & Sparkle
This NYE sport some sparkle in a whole new way. Trade the typical trendy party dress for some sequin joggers. Pairing these party pants with a casual T-shirt and an amazing Statement Necklace will create a fresh and fabulous outfit. I love how this look feels a little bit more relaxed while offering more versatility with styling. To compliment this outfit with make-up, Sara created a vibrant party look by using RMS eye polish, living luminizer and a gorgeous dewy face oil. She also chose RMS Beauty Lip & Cheek in Beloved and Lip Shine in Sacred for a pop of colour.
Wherever your NYE night might take you, we hope you ring in 2016 with fresh confidence!
