Aurora Lux

Autumn/Winter 2013

Gayle Tzemach Lemmon - Aurora Lux Collection Aurora Lux by Hillberg & Berk began in contemplation of autumn and winter, of their annual dimming of the light.

From familiar beginnings, inspiration found wings in exploration of the great distances between darkness and Light. Sweeping tales of journeys toward Light - and the splendid journeys of Light itself - culminate in a collection equal parts Sci-Fi and Romance.

Against a perennial backdrop of greys, navy, black and brown dance twinkling facets of silver stars, flittering Swarovski crystal prisms, cosmic bursts of lavendar and magenta, and the burdened gold of the last harvest sun.

In celebration, then, of darkness overcome, of starlit splendor and the infinite Beyond, Hillberg & Berk proudly presents Aurora Lux.

The Malala Fund

Gayle Lemmon and Hillberg & Berk are proud to partner with the Malala Fund, established by Vital Voices Global Partnership on behalf of Malala Yousafzai and her family.

Malala Yousafzai, a 15-year-old advocate for girls' education and the right of all children to go to school, was shot in the head by Taliban insurgents. Unphased by the darkness, Malala maintains, "They will not stop me. I will get my education if it is in home, school or any place."
